North Georgia Shakespeare is thrilled to be launching our Pop Up Shakespeare Series with this immersive evening of art and theatre. Audiences will enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live cello music while four professional actors bring Shakespeare’s most beloved scenes to life.
This new comedy centers on Victorian historical figures William Macready, Charlotte Cushman, and Helena Faucit as they attempt to champion compassion against the surging tide of division that caused the Astor Place Riot. During their individual journies, they are swept into scenes from Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Cymbeline, and more.

Shakespeare meets Happy Hour during these interactive, enhanced staged readings of
the Bard’s beloved plays.
With 8 professional actors, a 2 hour cut of Shakespeare's text, and a scrappy array of props and costume pieces, we deliver
audience participation, drinking games, and stirring (slightly tipsy) performances.
Over the past year our ShakesBEER Reading Series has been selling out The Alley Stage's comedy club in Marietta, GA with a new show each month. In June we will share ShakesBEER with audiences in Norcross, GA via a new partnership with Lionheart Theatre.
